Although we customarily recite them later consecutively, it is not proper to delay their recitation further. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Whoever did not recite <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Ha-sha\u0125ar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> upon waking must try to recite them before the time to pray <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Sha\u0125arit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> lapses, since some <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">poskim<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> link the time of their recitation to the time of the <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Sha\u0125arit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> prayer. In other words, one should try to say them within the first four seasonal hours of the day, and <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">be-di\u2019avad<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> until <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">\u0125atzot<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> (midday). However, if one does not manage to recite them before <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">\u0125atzot<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">be-di\u2019avad<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> she may recite them the whole day. The reason for this is that according to most <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">poskim<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">, the time to say <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Ha-sha\u0125ar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> differs from the time to recite <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Sha\u0125arit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">, because <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Ha-sha\u0125ar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> are blessings of thanks for the good things from which people derive pleasure throughout the day (see <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Peninei Halakha: Prayer<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">, ch. 9 n. 3).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">A woman who recited <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Keri\u2019at Shema<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> and prayed the <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Amida<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> and then realized that she forgot to recite <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Ha-sha\u0125ar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> must make up all the missed <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">berakhot<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"> with the exception of <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Birkhot Ha-Torah <\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">Elokai Neshama<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">.
