Por lo tanto, un cohen que trasgredi\u00f3 ingiriendo alimentos prohibidos o tuvo inconductas sexuales y dem\u00e1s (salvo las trasgresiones que se listar\u00e1n a continuaci\u00f3n) debe subir a la tarima a bendecir. En caso de que se abstenga de recitar la bendici\u00f3n sacerdotal estar\u00eda sumando otra trasgresi\u00f3n a las ya realizadas. Tal como dijo Ramb\u00e1m (<em>Hiljot Tefil\u00e1<\/em> 15:6): \u00abNo se le dice a un malvado que cometa otra maldad y se abstenga de cumplir un precepto\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Si el cohen cometi\u00f3 trasgresiones que alteran su car\u00e1cter de tal, por ejemplo si despos\u00f3 una divorciada o si no se cuida de no impurificarse con muertos, se le proh\u00edbe subir a la tarima a bendecir. Un cohen que trasgredi\u00f3 cometiendo idolatr\u00eda o si profana Shabat en p\u00fablico en se\u00f1al de desaf\u00edo, no puede bendecir a la congregaci\u00f3n. En todos estos casos, si el cohen en cuesti\u00f3n se arrepiente y retorna a la senda del bien podr\u00e1 volver a bendecir (<em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj Oraj Ja\u00edm<\/em> 128 incisos 37, 40, 41 y <em>Peninei Halaj\u00e1 Tefil\u00e1<\/em> 20:10).<\/p>\n<p>Un cohen que mat\u00f3 a una persona no puede recitar la bendici\u00f3n sacerdotal, tal como est\u00e1 escrito (Isa\u00edas 1:15): \u00abY cuando extend\u00e9is vuestras manos hacia lo alto, habr\u00e9 de ocultar Mis ojos de vosotros\u2026vuestras manos llenas est\u00e1n de sangre\u00bb (Talmud Babilonio Tratado de <em>Berajot<\/em> 32(B)).
