Hay quienes acostumbran a recitar la bendici\u00f3n antes de encenderlas tal como lo indica la halaj\u00e1 en todos los preceptos, esto es, recitar la bendici\u00f3n con anterioridad al cumplimiento del precepto. Por lo tanto seg\u00fan esta costumbre primero se bendice: \u00ab<em>Baruj At\u00e1 Hashem Elokeinu Melej Haolam Asher Kidshanu Bemitzvotav ve Tzivanu Lehadlik ner shel Shabat<\/em>\u00bb y luego se procede a encender las velas. As\u00ed se decidi\u00f3 en el Shulj\u00e1n Aruj y as\u00ed acostumbran a hacer algunas mujeres de origen sefarad\u00ed (<em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj Oraj Ja\u00edm<\/em> 263:5, <em>Iab\u00eda Omer<\/em> 2:16).<\/p>\n<p>Hay tambi\u00e9n quienes acostumbran a recitar la bendici\u00f3n despu\u00e9s del encendido, pues de acuerdo con la opini\u00f3n de algunos juristas, al mencionar el Shabat en la bendici\u00f3n la mujer que enciende est\u00e1 recibiendo el Shabat y por lo tanto ya no puede encender fuego (Baal Halajot \u00a0Guedolot). De acuerdo a la opini\u00f3n de la mayor\u00eda\u00a0 de los juristas, si la mujer para sus adentros piensa que al recitar la bendici\u00f3n no est\u00e1 recibiendo el Shabat, puede encender despu\u00e9s del recitado. Sin embargo, la mayor\u00eda de las mujeres se neg\u00f3 a proceder de esta manera, por lo que se expandi\u00f3 la costumbre en la mayor\u00eda de las comunidades jud\u00edas que las mujeres primero encienden y luego bendicen, y al recitar la bendici\u00f3n reciben el Shabat. Muchos juristas de las \u00faltimas generaciones confirmaron esta costumbre como v\u00e1lida y apropiada. A los efectos de que la bendici\u00f3n se considere anterior al encendido, las mujeres suelen cubrirse los ojos al recitarla y los descubren solamente al concluirla para disfrutar de la luz que irradian las velas. As\u00ed acostumbran a encender las mujeres ashkenaz\u00edes (<em>Ram\u00e1<\/em> 263:5) y algunas de las sefarad\u00edes, tal como decretaron el Rabino Jaim Yosef David Azulay (<em>Majazik Beraj\u00e1<\/em> 263:4) y el Ben Ish Jai (Halajot Segundo A\u00f1o, Noaj 58:8). As\u00ed acostumbraron a encender las mujeres en Marruecos, Babilonia y otros pa\u00edses. De hecho, es bueno que cada mujer encienda de acuerdo con la tradici\u00f3n familiar que le inculc\u00f3 su madre.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando un hombre enciende velas de Shabat, como en el caso de un soltero o un viudo, deber\u00e1 recitar la bendici\u00f3n con anterioridad al encendido, pues los hombres acostumbran a recibir el Shabat verbalmente tras el servicio de Minj\u00e1 de viernes en el Kabalat Shabat (<em>Shmirat Shabat Kehiljat\u00e1<\/em> 43:30).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hay dos costumbres distintas en cuanto al encendido de las velas.
