Si bien en el pasado no se acostumbraba a calentar metal a los efectos de generar luz o calor, encontramos en las fuentes que cuando calentar hierro reportaba un beneficio, esto estaba prohibido por la Tor\u00e1. Seg\u00fan Ramb\u00e1m (<em>Shabat<\/em> 12:1) quien calienta hierro para luego sumergirlo en agua, m\u00e9todo empleado para reforzarlo, trasgrede la prohibici\u00f3n de la Tor\u00e1 de encender fuego. Es claro que mientras el calentar hierro reporte beneficio &#8211; estar\u00e1 prohibido por la Tor\u00e1. Quien apaga una l\u00e1mpara o un calentador el\u00e9ctrico trasgrede una prohibici\u00f3n de los sabios ya que no se asemeja al apagado de un fuego com\u00fan. Al extinguir un fuego com\u00fan se generan carbones por lo que la Tor\u00e1 lo proh\u00edbe, empero, al apagar el flujo el\u00e9ctrico no se genera cosa alguna por lo que la prohibici\u00f3n es rab\u00ednica.<\/p>\n<p>La Tor\u00e1 proh\u00edbe realizar labores no permitidas en Shabat por intermedio de m\u00e1quinas el\u00e9ctricas, ya que quien activa una moledora el\u00e9ctrica trasgrede la prohibici\u00f3n de moler y quien activa una m\u00e1quina amasadora trasgrede la prohibici\u00f3n de amasar y as\u00ed en el caso de las dem\u00e1s labores.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien en la pr\u00e1ctica la persona no amasa o muele con sus propias manos, dado que oprime el bot\u00f3n que activa la maquinaria, se la considera autora de \u00a0todas las acciones que se realizan (<em>Oraj Mishpat<\/em> 70, <em>Ajiezer<\/em> 3:60).<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed como se proh\u00edbe activar un aparato el\u00e9ctrico oprimiendo un bot\u00f3n, de la misma forma est\u00e1 prohibido hacerlo mediante un control remoto.
