Por ello nuestros sabios, de bendita memoria, indicaron que tras el recitado de \u00abHamotz\u00ed\u00bb corresponde ingerir el pan del modo m\u00e1s excelso posible, para as\u00ed enfatizar la alabanza impl\u00edcita en la bendici\u00f3n. Por ello se acostumbr\u00f3 aderezar el pan ingerido con sal u otro alimento que realce su sabor. En esos d\u00edas, quien deseaba comer el pan tal como estaba, sin agregados, no deb\u00eda adicionar sal.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad el pan que solemos comer viene ya con sal y otros condimentos incluidos por lo que se lo considera importante o de alta gama y, seg\u00fan la norma, se puede recitar sobre este la bendici\u00f3n de \u00abHamotz\u00ed\u00bb sin necesidad de agregar aderezo alguno (<em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj<\/em> 167:5). Sin embargo, muchos acostumbran cumplir el precepto con especial excelencia y aderezan el pan con sal o alguna ensalada a los efectos de que la ingesti\u00f3n posterior al recitado de la bendici\u00f3n se lleve a cabo del modo m\u00e1s excelso posible.<\/p>\n<p>Existe otro esmero especial en este precepto y es el de colocar la sal sobre la mesa durante la comida, tal como se ordenaba hacer en el Templo de Jerusal\u00e9m donde se les agregaba sal a los sacrificios ofrendados, como est\u00e1 escrito (Vaikr\u00e1-Lev\u00edtico 2:13): \u00abpondr\u00e1s sal sobre todos tus sacrificios\u00bb. Esta pr\u00e1ctica sugiere que la mesa donde se come es similar al altar del Santuario y el alimento ingerido se asemeja a un sacrificio ofrendado por cuanto que confiere al hombre del vigor necesario para poder servir a D\u00b4s (Ram\u00e1 all\u00ed).<\/p>\n<p>Hay quienes acostumbran agregar sal al pan gui\u00e1ndose por ense\u00f1anzas m\u00edsticas (<em>Magu\u00e9n Abraham<\/em> 167:15, <em>Mishn\u00e1 Berur\u00e1<\/em> 33). Esto se debe a que el pan alude a la cualidad del \u00abjesed\u00bb o generosidad, pues por su intermedio el ser humano se nutre y por lo tanto vive, mientras que la sal alude o insin\u00faa el \u00abdin\u00bb o el duro rigor, cualidad a la que cuando se le entrega el dominio del mundo este se ve destruido. Al aderezar el pan con sal sublimamos o corregimos el poder destructor de ella al transformarla en secundaria respecto del pan sum\u00e1ndose as\u00ed al \u00abjesed\u00bb que nutre al mundo y entonces en lugar de ser perjudicial resulta \u00fatil.
