He aqu\u00ed un ser humano que proviene del polvo y a este habr\u00e1 de retornar, hijo de una mujer como todos los seres humanos, empero todos lo respetan y posee el poder de gobernar a sus semejantes. A los efectos de enfocar correctamente nuestro pensar, los sabios de Israel establecieron una bendici\u00f3n que exprese nuestra fe en que el gobierno pertenece a D\u00b4s y \u00c9l se lo otorg\u00f3 a un mortal. Esta bendici\u00f3n no implica tomar posici\u00f3n respecto de si el rey en cuesti\u00f3n es una persona justa o malvada sino la fe en que HaShem dirige el mundo. A veces, en virtud de las transgresiones cometidas por determinada generaci\u00f3n D\u00b4s env\u00eda un rey perverso como Nabucodonosor para castigarla e inducirla al retorno. Por lo tanto, por todo rey se bendice, sea justo o malvado (Responsa <em>Lev Ja\u00edm<\/em> 3:55). Corresponde agregar que al recitar la bendici\u00f3n se refuerza la postura espiritual independiente respecto del rey, pues en esta decimos que HaShem es la fuente de la autoridad y el honor, y por ende Su Tor\u00e1 y los valores eternos que esta contienen son anteriores y superiores al monarca.<\/p>\n<p>Quien ve a un rey de Israel bendice: \u00abBaruj At\u00e1 Ad-onai Eloh-einu Melej Haol\u00e1m Shejalak Mikvod\u00f3 Lireav\u00bb (\u00ab\u2026que otorg\u00f3 de Su Gloria a quienes Le temen\u00bb). Quien ve un rey gentil bendice: \u00abBaruj At\u00e1 Ad-onai Eloh-einu Melej Haol\u00e1m Shenat\u00e1n Mikvod\u00f3 Lebasar Vadam\u00bb (\u00ab\u2026que otorg\u00f3 de Su Gloria a los mortales\u00bb). Generalmente, los monarcas gentiles sol\u00edan ser soberbios y crueles y por su parte, los reyes jud\u00edos sol\u00edan ser conocidos como generosos (ver Melajim-Reyes I 20:31), y ve\u00edan en su reinado una misi\u00f3n Divina de inculcar los valores de la Tor\u00e1 y la moral. Si bien de acuerdo con el estricto criterio de los profetas de Israel muchos de nuestros reyes fueron considerados como pecadores, comparados a los reyes de las naciones, eran considerados temerosos de Dios. De todas maneras, en la pr\u00e1ctica, por aquellos malvados reyes jud\u00edos corresponde bendecir \u00abShejalak Mikvod\u00f3 Lebasar Vadam\u00bb. Creemos que, si el rey es extremadamente malvado, mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo aceptado, al punto que por la halaj\u00e1 corresponde rebelarse contra \u00e9l, sea jud\u00edo o no \u2013 no se lo bendice.<\/p>\n<p>Dijeron nuestros sabios: es preceptivo ir a ver al rey, aunque sea un monarca de las naciones, pues es bueno que una persona medite sobre el orden del universo y reconozca el gobierno y el honor al poder establecido. Esa percepci\u00f3n, le ayudar\u00e1 a poder comprender el valor de la Tor\u00e1 y la fe, cuya grandeza es eterna e infinitamente superior. Y si ha de ser meritorio, podr\u00e1 discernir entre el honor que merecen los reyes en este mundo al verdadero honor del que es merecedor el Rey Mash\u00edaj (Talmud Babilonio Tratado de <em>Berajot <\/em>58(A), <em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj<\/em> 224:9).
