Por lo tanto, al momento de ingresar a la tierra prometida los hijos de Israel deben imitar tambi\u00e9n la conducta del Creador y plantar \u00e1rboles frutales, tal como fue dicho (Vaikr\u00e1-Lev\u00edtico 19:23): <em>\u00aby cuando entr\u00e9is a la tierra y plant\u00e9is cualquier \u00e1rbol frutal\u00bb<\/em> (Vaikr\u00e1 Rab\u00e1 25:3).<\/p>\n<p>Plantar \u00e1rboles frutales se incluye en el precepto de habitar la tierra de Israel (<em>yshuv haaretz<\/em>) (Jatam Sofer al Tratado de Suc\u00e1 36(A)). En nuestros d\u00edas, los agricultores que plantan huertos de \u00e1rboles frutales son quienes tienen el m\u00e9rito de cumplir este precepto, ya que plantarlos en jardines particulares o residenciales implica un aporte insignificante para las multitudes de los hijos de Israel, comparado con la cantidad de frutos que las plantaciones comerciales generan.<\/p>\n<p>El ser humano ha sido comparado al \u00e1rbol frutal, tal como fue dicho (Devarim-Deuteronomio 20:19): <em>\u00abya que el hombre es el \u00e1rbol del campo\u00bb<\/em>. A diferencia de los arbustos que crecen r\u00e1pidamente y en un breve lapso alcanzan su tama\u00f1o m\u00e1ximo, los \u00e1rboles crecen despacio y solo al llegar a determinada edad comienzan a dar fruto. Lo mismo ocurre con el ser humano, su proceso de desarrollo es relativamente lento comparado con el del resto de los seres vivos, y solamente tras alcanzar su juventud podr\u00e1 dar frutos y ser socio en el sostenimiento del mundo y en su desarrollo. En los \u00e1rboles frutales se aprecia m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente el idealismo, ya que, si bien por lo general suelen ser menos vistosos, no crecen para s\u00ed mismos sino con el objeto de brindar frutos, por medio de los cuales los seres humanos y los animales se alimentan.<\/p>\n<p>El ser humano normativo debe tambi\u00e9n procurar asemejarse al \u00e1rbol frutal, brindando de s\u00ed a su entorno y a su comunidad sin preocuparse \u00fanicamente por su persona.<\/p>\n<p>Incluso el Santo Bendito \u00c9l nos ense\u00f1\u00f3 a tener una actitud \u00e9tica hacia los \u00e1rboles frutales, pues para la construcci\u00f3n del Tabern\u00e1culo orden\u00f3 traer acacias que son \u00e1rboles que no dan frutos, para ense\u00f1arnos en qu\u00e9 medida es preciso tener cuidado de no arrancar o talar un \u00e1rbol frutal (Shemot Rab\u00e1 35:2, Tanjuma Vaiakhel 9).<\/p>\n<p>La prohibici\u00f3n general de no destruir o echar a perder (<em>bal tashjit<\/em>) la aprendemos de la restricci\u00f3n de da\u00f1ar \u00e1rboles frutales, pues son el ejemplo emblem\u00e1tico de algo que resulta valioso por ser una fuente de bendici\u00f3n de la cual crecen frutos que brindan vida y alegr\u00eda. Por ello, nuestros sabios dijeron que cuando se arranca un \u00e1rbol frutal indebidamente se genera un sufrimiento en el universo, y la voz del \u00e1rbol clama de un extremo al otro del mundo mas no es escuchada (Pirkei DeRab\u00ed Eliezer 34). Por lo tanto, la Tor\u00e1 les concedi\u00f3 a los \u00e1rboles frutales una suerte de expresi\u00f3n y orden\u00f3 no destruirlos.<\/p>\n<p>La historia universal nos ense\u00f1a tambi\u00e9n que cuando los conquistadores destruyeron los \u00e1rboles frutales y los sistemas de riego de los pa\u00edses ocupados, provocaron posteriormente hambrunas y penurias a millones de personas.
