En a\u00f1os recientes los cient\u00edficos han conseguido desarrollar carne de manera artificial por medio de la duplicaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas madre (c\u00e9lulas que no terminaron de clasificarse) que fueron extra\u00eddas del cuerpo de un animal. Si este desarrollo fuera exitoso y pudiera ser comercializado a gran escala, podr\u00e1 generar una revoluci\u00f3n en el mercado de la carne en el marco de la cual se dejar\u00e1n de criar miles de millones de vacas y gallinas y cesar\u00e1 su faena, el precio de la carne descender\u00e1 y la contaminaci\u00f3n producida por la cr\u00eda de animales llegar\u00e1 a su fin.<\/p>\n

Hay eminencias que sostienen que una carne de este tipo tiene el mismo estatus que la c\u00e9lula madre a partir de la cual se desarroll\u00f3, y, por lo tanto, si fuera extra\u00edda de un cerdo \u2013la carne desarrollada tendr\u00e1 el estatus hal\u00e1jico de ese animal. Si la c\u00e9lula fuera extra\u00edda de un animal dom\u00e9stico o de un ave faenada seg\u00fan las indicaciones de la Tor\u00e1, su estatus hal\u00e1jico ser\u00e1 similar al de la carne kasher y estar\u00e1 permitido ingerirla, pero se prohibir\u00e1 mezclarla con leche.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, otras eminencias entienden que, dado que la primera c\u00e9lula es peque\u00f1\u00edsima y carente de importancia, se anula en los miles de millones de c\u00e9lulas que se desarrollaron a partir de esta y a las que se las considera absolutamente como \u201calgo nuevo\u201d (panim jadashot<\/em>), y por ende, aunque la primera c\u00e9lula fuera de cerdo, el producto final ser\u00e1 kasher, y aunque fuera originada en un ternero, el alimento final tendr\u00e1 estatus de \u00abparve\u00bb.
