Nuestros sabios relacionaron esta prohibici\u00f3n con lo que reza el vers\u00edculo (Vaikr\u00e1 19:26): \u00abNo comer\u00e9is sobre la sangre\u00bb, lo cual interpretaron como \u00abno comer\u00e9is nada antes de que pid\u00e1is por vuestras sangres\u00bb. Adem\u00e1s, dijeron que todo aqu\u00e9l que come y bebe y s\u00f3lo despu\u00e9s reza, sobre \u00e9l dice el vers\u00edculo (<em>Melajim<\/em>-Reyes I 14:9): \u00aby me has dado la espalda<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>\u00ab, por lo que dijo el Santo Bendito Sea: una vez que presumi\u00f3 ante Mi \u00a1\u00bfhabr\u00e1 de aceptar el yugo celestial?!<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, est\u00e1 permitido beber agua antes de rezar pues en su ingesti\u00f3n no hay ning\u00fan elemento de soberbia. Asimismo, est\u00e1 permitido ingerir bebidas y alimentos que tienen un prop\u00f3sito terap\u00e9utico porque por su naturaleza, la ingesti\u00f3n no implica soberbia alguna (<em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj<\/em> 89:4). Por ejemplo, quien sufre de estre\u00f1imiento tiene permitido comer ciruelas antes del rezo, pues las ingiere con un prop\u00f3sito m\u00e9dico (ver <em>Mishn\u00e1 Berur\u00e1<\/em> 89:24).<\/p>\n<p>Quien est\u00e1 muy hambriento al punto de que no se puede concentrar en el rezo puede comer antes pues se lo considera como un enfermo que necesita ingerir su medicina y en esta ingesti\u00f3n tampoco hay elemento alguno de presunci\u00f3n (<em>Shulj\u00e1n Aruj<\/em> 89:4, ver <em>Mishn\u00e1 Berur\u00e1<\/em> 26).<\/p>\n<p>Una persona d\u00e9bil que no puede posponer su desayuno hasta que el rezo p\u00fablico concluya, es mejor que rece solo y desayune.\u00a0 A priori, es bueno que una vez desayunado vaya al servicio p\u00fablico para escuchar \u00ab<em>Kadish<\/em>\u00bb y \u00ab<em>Kedush\u00e1<\/em>\u00bb (<em>Beur Halaj\u00e1<\/em> 89:3, ver adelante halaj\u00e1 7).<\/p>\n<p>Un ni\u00f1o que a\u00fan no lleg\u00f3 a los trece a\u00f1os de edad puede comer antes del rezo ya que a los peque\u00f1os se les instruye en no ingerir \u00fanicamente alimentos prohibidos por no ser Kasher. La prohibici\u00f3n instituida por los sabios de no comer antes de rezar o de recitar el Kidush, no aplica sobre los menores puesto que no se trata de alimentos no aptos (<em>Mishn\u00e1 Berur\u00e1<\/em> 106:5 y en <em>Iab\u00eda Omer<\/em> IV 12:15, pero en <em>Kaf HaJa\u00edm<\/em> 106:11 la opini\u00f3n es m\u00e1s estricta).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> El vocablo \u00abgav\u00bb (\u05d2\u05d5 ) que significa espalda es cercano a la palabra \u00abgaav\u00e1\u00bb ( \u05d2\u05d0\u05d5\u05d5\u05d4)que significa orgullo.
