C\u2019est la <em>hagbaha<\/em> (litt\u00e9ralement \u00ab\u00a0lev\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb). L\u2019usage originel \u00e9tait de pr\u00e9senter le rouleau avant la lecture (Michna <em>Sofrim<\/em> 14, 13-14). L\u2019usage est rest\u00e9 semblable chez les S\u00e9farades et une minorit\u00e9 d\u2019Ashk\u00e9nazes\u00a0; tel doit \u00eatre \u00e9galement l\u2019usage d\u2019apr\u00e8s Rabbi Isaac Louria (Ari <em>zal<\/em>). Chez la majorit\u00e9 des Ashk\u00e9nazes, on a coutume de pr\u00e9senter le rouleau de la Torah apr\u00e8s la lecture, afin que tout le monde ait conscience que le principal est l\u2019<em>\u00e9coute<\/em> de la lecture, et que l\u2019on pr\u00e9sente la Torah au public \u00e0 cette occasion (<em>Choul\u2019han \u2018Aroukh<\/em> 134, 2\u00a0; <em>Michna Beroura<\/em> 8\u00a0; <em>Kaf Ha\u2019ha\u00efm<\/em> 17\u00a0; <em>Pisq\u00e9 Techouva<\/em> 9).<\/p>\n<p>La <em>hagbaha<\/em> est si importante que, selon nos sages (<em>M\u00e9guila <\/em>32a), celui qui y proc\u00e8de re\u00e7oit un salaire c\u00e9leste \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble des appel\u00e9s \u00e0 la Torah. Aussi convient-il d\u2019honorer, en lui confiant la <em>hagbaha<\/em>, l\u2019un des notables de la communaut\u00e9. De nos jours, on a \u00e9galement l\u2019habitude d\u2019honorer, par la <em>hagbaha<\/em>, de simples membres de la communaut\u00e9\u00a0; mais l\u2019usage le plus exact consiste \u00e0 honorer, en leur confiant la <em>hagbaha<\/em>, les fid\u00e8les les plus \u00e9minents. En tout \u00e9tat de cause, il faut s\u2019abstenir de confier la <em>hagbaha<\/em> \u00e0 quelqu\u2019un dont il est \u00e0 craindre qu\u2019il fasse tomber le rouleau de la Torah.<\/p>\n<p>A priori, il faut qu\u2019au moment de la <em>hagbaha<\/em>, le rouleau soit ouvert \u00e0 l\u2019endroit de la lecture du jour. Mais a posteriori, si le rouleau \u00e9tait ouvert, au moment de la <em>hagbaha<\/em>, \u00e0 un autre passage, il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire de recommencer (voir <em>Pisq\u00e9 Techouva<\/em> 134, 4). Quand il s\u2019agit d\u2019un rouleau ashk\u00e9naze, celui qui proc\u00e8de \u00e0 la <em>hagbaha<\/em> doit ouvrir le rouleau de la Torah de fa\u00e7on que trois colonnes soient visibles (<em>Michna Beroura<\/em> 134, 8).<\/p>\n<p>Certaines personnes charg\u00e9es de faire la <em>hagbaha<\/em> se trompent\u00a0: elles se tournent un peu \u00e0 droite, un peu \u00e0 gauche, et nombre de fid\u00e8les qui se tiennent du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019arche sainte ne peuvent voir le manuscrit. Il faut que celui qui proc\u00e8de \u00e0 la <em>hagbaha<\/em> ait soin de permettre \u00e0 tous les fid\u00e8les de voir le manuscrit, le mieux \u00e9tant de faire un tour complet \u00e0 rythme mod\u00e9r\u00e9\u00a0; de cette fa\u00e7on, chacun pourra voir les lettres de la Torah (cf. <em>Pisq\u00e9 Techouva <\/em>134, 5).<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une obligation pour tout homme et toute femme, lorsqu\u2019on voit le manuscrit, que de s\u2019incliner et de dire le verset <em>V\u00e9zot Hatorah<\/em> (\u00ab\u00a0Voici la Torah que Mo\u00efse a plac\u00e9e devant les enfants d\u2019Isra\u00ebl\u00a0\u00bb (<em>Sofrim<\/em> 14, 14\u00a0; <em>Choul\u2019han \u2018Aroukh<\/em> 134, 2). De nombreux Ashk\u00e9nazes n\u2019ont pas l\u2019usage de s\u2019incliner\u00a0; certains d\u00e9cisionnaires tentent de trouver une justification \u00e0 cela, mais a priori, il convient de s\u2019incliner quand on voit le manuscrit (<em>Har Tsvi<\/em>, <em>Ora\u2019h \u2018Ha\u00efm<\/em> 1, 64).<\/p>\n<p>Certains ont coutume de d\u00e9signer le rouleau de la Torah de l\u2019auriculaire, au moment o\u00f9 l\u2019on dit <em>V\u00e9zot Hatorah<\/em>, puis d\u2019embrasser ce doigt. D\u2019autres ont coutume de saisir le tsitsit de leur talith et de le pointer en direction du rouleau de la Torah, puis d\u2019embrasser ce tsitsit.<\/p>\n<p>Les Gu\u00e9onim ont donn\u00e9 pour consigne de prononcer le Qaddich apr\u00e8s la lecture de la Torah, comme on a l\u2019usage de le faire apr\u00e8s la lecture de versets (<em>Pisq\u00e9 Techouva<\/em> 147, 9). Afin de ne pas marquer une trop longue interruption entre la \u2018Amida et le Qaddich Titqabal<sup><a href='#_te01ftn22_b' id='_te01ftnref22_b' class='aup1'>[b]<\/a><\/sup> qui suit <em>Ouva l\u00e9-Tsion<\/em><sup><a href='#_te01ftn22_c' id='_te01ftnref22_c' class='aup1'>[c]<\/a><\/sup>, on ne dit ici que le Qaddich abr\u00e9g\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la lecture, au moment o\u00f9 l\u2019on rev\u00eat le rouleau de la Torah de son manteau (<em>glila<\/em>), les Ashk\u00e9nazes ont l\u2019usage de dire le texte <em>Yehi ratson<\/em>\u00a0(\u00ab\u00a0Que telle soit Ta volont\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb) ; les jours o\u00f9 l\u2019on ne dit pas les <em>Ta\u2019hanounim<\/em>, on n\u2019a pas l\u2019usage de dire <em>Yehi ratson<\/em> (cf. <em>Pisq\u00e9 Techouva<\/em> 147, 7).<\/p>\n<p>Selon l\u2019usage ashk\u00e9naze, c\u2019est apr\u00e8s la lecture et avant la r\u00e9citation d\u2019<em>Achr\u00e9<\/em>\/Ps 145 que l\u2019on\u00a0 reconduit le rouleau de la Torah vers l\u2019arche sainte. Selon l\u2019usage s\u00e9farade et \u2018hassidique, on reconduit le rouleau apr\u00e8s <em>Ouva l\u00e9-Tsion<\/em> et le <em>Qaddich Titqabal<\/em>. Certains S\u00e9farades reconduisent le rouleau de la Torah avant le <em>Qaddich Titqabal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On a coutume de r\u00e9citer des versets quand on rapporte le <em>s\u00e9fer-Torah<\/em> et quand on le range dans l\u2019arche sainte.<\/p>\n<div>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<div>\n<a href='#_te01ftnref22_b' id='_te01ftn22_b'>[b]<\/a>.Sur les diff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories de Qaddich, voir chapitre 23 \u00a7 7.<br \/>\n<a href='#_te01ftnref22_c' id='_te01ftn22_c'>[c]<\/a>.
