Cependant, d\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, il est juste d\u2019encha\u00eener la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction <em>Hamotsi <\/em>\u00e0 la consommation\u00a0; or si l\u2019on disait la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction sur un pain entier, on serait contraint d\u2019attendre, apr\u00e8s l\u2019avoir dite, d\u2019avoir tranch\u00e9 le pain pour pouvoir en manger. Par cons\u00e9quent, nos sages prescrivent, avant de dire la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, de commencer \u00e0 couper le pain, de mani\u00e8re telle que la tranche reste encore attach\u00e9e \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9 du pain, et que, si l\u2019on tenait le pain par le petit c\u00f4t\u00e9, on pourrait encore soulever l\u2019ensemble. En ce cas, le pain est encore consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme entier, et cependant, tout de suite apr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9cit\u00e9 la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, on pourra terminer de le trancher puis le manger.<\/p>\n<p>Tout cela vaut dans le cas d\u2019un pain qui requiert un certain temps pour \u00eatre coup\u00e9\u00a0; mais si l\u2019on se propose de manger d\u2019un petit pain ou d\u2019une <em>pita<\/em>, qui se tranchent ais\u00e9ment et rapidement, on ne commencera pas \u00e0 trancher avant la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, mais seulement apr\u00e8s (<em>Choul\u2018han \u2018Aroukh<\/em> 167, 1, <em>B\u00e9our Halakha<\/em>, passage commen\u00e7ant par <em>V\u00e9-tsarikh<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Le Chabbat, on ne commencera pas \u00e0 trancher le pain avant d\u2019avoir dit la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, car c\u2019est une mitsva que de r\u00e9citer celle-ci, le Chabbat, pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment sur deux pains entiers\u00a0; or, si l\u2019on commen\u00e7ait \u00e0 couper, le pain ne serait plus parfaitement entier (cf. Rema 167, 1\u00a0; de nombreux auteurs \u00e9crivent qu\u2019il faut marquer l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 l\u2019on tranchera\u00a0: <em>Ba\u00eft \u2018Hadach<\/em>, Maharchal, <em>Michna Beroura<\/em> 274, 5).<\/p>\n<p>On tranchera le pain \u00e0 un endroit o\u00f9 il est bien cuit, afin que la louange qu\u2019exprime la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction s\u2019applique au meilleur endroit du pain. De nos jours, les pains sont cuits de mani\u00e8re \u00e9gale\u00a0; on peut donc trancher en tout endroit du pain (<em>Choul\u2018han \u2018Aroukh <\/em>167, 1)<sup><a id=\"_te01ftnref3_5\" class=\"aup1\" href=\"#_te01ftn3_5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Tout de suite apr\u00e8s la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, on mangera de ce pain. Si, enfreignant la r\u00e8gle, on a parl\u00e9 avant de commencer \u00e0 manger, ne serait-ce que pour dire un mot, on a perdu le b\u00e9n\u00e9fice de la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction, puisque l\u2019on s\u2019est interrompu par une parole. Il faut donc r\u00e9p\u00e9ter la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction afin de pouvoir manger. Si la transgression a seulement consist\u00e9 \u00e0 parler apr\u00e8s avoir introduit le pain dans sa bouche, on ne r\u00e9p\u00e9tera pas la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction <em>Hamotsi<\/em> (cf. ci-apr\u00e8s, chap. 9 \u00a7 3).<\/p>\n<p>Si l\u2019on a parl\u00e9, entre la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction et la consommation de la premi\u00e8re bouch\u00e9e de pain, d\u2019un sujet li\u00e9 \u00e0 la nourriture \u2013 par exemple, si l\u2019on a demand\u00e9 du sel, ou un couteau, ou si l\u2019on a demand\u00e9 qu\u2019il soit donn\u00e9 du pain \u00e0 un invit\u00e9 \u2013, on n\u2019aura certes pas proc\u00e9d\u00e9 conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la r\u00e8gle\u00a0; mais puisque cette parole portait sur un sujet li\u00e9 \u00e0 la consommation, elle ne fait pas \u00e9cran entre la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction et celle-ci. On ne devra donc pas r\u00e9p\u00e9ter la <em>berakha<\/em> (<em>Choul\u2018han \u2018Aroukh, Ora\u2018h \u2018Ha\u00efm <\/em>167, 6).<\/p>\n<p>Il est bon de manger, tout de suite apr\u00e8s la <em>berakha<\/em>, la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019un <em>kaza\u00eft <\/em>de pain, sans s\u2019interrompre, afin de donner de l\u2019importance \u00e0 la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction <em>Hamotsi<\/em>. Toutefois, quand c\u2019est n\u00e9cessaire, il est permis de parler tout de suite apr\u00e8s avoir aval\u00e9 une petite bouch\u00e9e de pain<sup><a id=\"_te01ftnref3_6\" class=\"aup1\" href=\"#_te01ftn3_6\">[6]<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<div><a id=\"_te01ftn3_5\" href=\"#_te01ftnref3_5\">[5]<\/a>. Certains tiennent compte des diff\u00e9rentes opinions exprim\u00e9es quant \u00e0 ce qu\u2019est la \u00ab\u00a0meilleure partie du pain\u00a0\u00bb. Pour apporter un embellissement \u00e0 leur pratique, ils coupent de fa\u00e7on que la tranche contienne un peu du haut du pain, et un peu du bas (cf. Rema et <em>Michna Beroura<\/em> 167, 3). Il faut ajouter ceci\u00a0: bien que, dans la boulangerie industrielle, toutes les parties du pain soient \u00e9gales, il est bon de go\u00fbter, en premier lieu, un peu de la cro\u00fbte dure qui recouvre le pain, car la cro\u00fbte (pour qui peut la manger) est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme plus savoureuse que la mie.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"_te01ftn3_6\" href=\"#_te01ftnref3_6\">[6]<\/a>. Il est bon de manger son <em>kaza\u00eft<\/em> sans s\u2019interrompre, comme le rapporte le <em>Michna Beroura<\/em> 167, 15. Cette r\u00e8gle est particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction <em>Hamotsi<\/em>, et s\u2019explique tant par l\u2019honneur d\u00fb \u00e0 cette b\u00e9n\u00e9diction que, selon certains d\u00e9cisionnaires (cf. ci-dessus, chap. 2 \u00a7 6), par les r\u00e8gles gouvernant la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction <em>\u2018Al n\u00e9tilat yada\u00efm<\/em>.
